Hollie had a rare genetic disorder that makes the skin lose adhesion so that so easilyscratched and peeling. I was so fragile, people often called a butterfly wing skin. While the medical world called epidermolysis bullosa (EB).
The little girl from Halifax, West Yorkshire, England, was living with torture wounds on his body, especially the back area and legs. He even had to eat with a hose because his throat hurt too easily when rubbed food.
The majority of patients with EB can not live over 30 years. In addition to woundvulnerable to infection due to growing all the time, patients are also at high risk ofdeveloping cancer.
Demi prevent infection, Leah always treat wounds all over his body of his daughter everyday. He also bathe and change clothes every three days. In addition to putting onprotective shirts to hand and fingers her daughter, Leah also provides wheelchairs foractivities in the house.
"In school, her friends all know and always be careful when you are around him, but thatbecomes a problem when Hollie was in the midst of strangers," he said. "I wish he couldenjoy a normal childhood, but I should be very careful."
Living in the torture did not make the Hollie glum. "When dressed he was always cryingand screaming in pain, but after he went cheerfully back and play like other children, he was always smiling, he was extraordinary great," said Leah.
